I couldn't have said it better myself re: Pete's blog vs Roger, Robert, Jimmy, Mick, etc. That is what makes Pete (& Rachel) so special. Pete has always had that - closeness/oneness & special communication (reflection) with his "audience".
He's the one to have the ability to go full circle with his "fans", by being the star he is, yet staying the human being he really is, too.
I hope you get the idea of what I'm rambling on about.
I believe Pete uses Ableton Live. He posted on my blog once that it was the software he uses and he buys loop CD's off ebay for $10 - $20 each, from there, he compiles his own beats.
He used to use live drums on demos, but found it too punishing on the ears, even today, he must take mandatory 36 hour breaks in between recording sessions because of the ringing in his ears.
Here is what he said on my blog:
Gary, saw your post to Michael about Ableton LIVE. The stuff I use came from a website called WWW.PRIMESOUNDS.COM. You just log on, pay some money for credit, then download what you want. They even have some loops they call 'WHO' loops and they aren't bad. I also snap up old ACID CDs on ebay, they work great in LIVE.
Thanks for your constant acivity on my Blog while I'm here. Pete Townshend
Ron, Pete and Rachel worked on a project together. She helped him do the notation and orchestration on Lifehouse. I don't know too much about it though. They stayed together as a couple following that project as I understand.
Let's where this goes? How about some info where we can buy the cd,Ronzi? Do you guys have a cd? I really dig the music as it has a really good feel to it.Great job!
No I mean it, about the music and about the station. WIDR. They are great. Online they tend to submit images of the wildest live shows. The DJs are not just students; in fact, very few are students. They all volunteer and are from I don't know where they come from; they know their genres. I wish I could be more specific as to what time of day that, what hour or so, I hear similar indie rock to your own. I really love your sound. And I especially like your writing process.
I do have great ears by the way. I know a great sound. It's some odd genetic fate.
Ronzi, Thanks for sharing the way you did.We are all better for it. I saw The Concert for New York on Television. It was clear what THE WHO did for the People in the House that night. I know what it did for me a thousand miles removed,What it did for a Nation,To have been there...Thanks Again, Danny
Hi Ron! here is Marcus Cianciaruso from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
How are you doing? I heard BB's songs! Excelent!! What do you play in the band? I use(d) to play the bass in a rock band, but now we are "paused" due other dayly activities.
Your blog picture, Pete, etc... We ought to have a catalog of car photos, complete with special appearances by rock stars at the wheel. I'd like to see that!
In the meantime, I'll settle for you, Pete, and the one Justin gave me. Oh, There is one on my blog with Roger Daltrey too. It was a couple of months ago.
I posted at Rachel's but wanted to send a special message of Sympathy for your loss. I am so sorry about your Grandmother. I hope you will always remember her when she was vibrant and full of life.
This has been one HELL of a year for my family as well, but the power and strength of Prayer is truly unbelievable. You WILL remain in my prayers.
Keep playing the music as well, Dear Boy~ That is the best of all magic.
Hola! HAPPY EASTER! Just invitig you to join the chat with week if you can. During ITA on Wed. We all come a half hour before. Keep rocking and with your songs in the IAC!
I am very sorry to read about your loss. Grandmothers are such influential people, they are our "spoilers"... If our parents won't do something we go running to our grandmothers. At least I did.
I miss both my grandmothers, they were really sweet, I'm sure yours were a sweet person too.
Hey Ronzi, just wanted to stop by and say hi. Missed you in The Mirror Door pub the other night, was playing darts with Neil, Mikey and Joeboy. Pete stopped in and said the most wonderful things about the who and the fans that kept them going. I'm still unable to speak freely to dear Rachel because I'm so stunned by her beauty.
Well mate, it's been a dreamy day. No loop tonight, looks like it's American Idol for me or maybe a little guitar playing.
The Who are officially booked for the Bank Atlantic Center Arena in Sunrise Florida for the second leg of the tour and I hear rumours for Tampa and Atlanta GA.
I will be at Joe's too. But, sadly, I didn't get M&G...the link didn't work, and I got nervous, that I wouldn't get any seats at all....so, better than nothing. But, I am sad ;-( Good for you though. Give a hug and kiss for me...to whoever, you like...ha ha!
RONZI~ I posted a message to you at Rachel's but you may have missed it. There is a surprise for you on my blog. Please go!!! For God's sake, my little blog is a ghost town!! Someone has to visit!! LOL
